
A Brief Intro of Georgia World Congress Center: An Important Convention Center in Atlanta
The Georgia World Congress Center is the premier convention center of Atlanta. Like any other convention center, the Georgia World Congress Center has facilities for exhibits, lectures, sports and other events.
The Georgia World Congress Center is divided into three buildings - A, B and C. The first building features three large exhibition halls and an auditorium. The second building houses five large halls and a large ballroom (33,000 sq. feet). The third building contains four large halls and a ballroom lesser in size (25,700 sq. feet) than the one in building B. All in all the World Congress Center has a total span of 350,000 sq. feet.
During the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the Georgia World Congress Center was the venue for a number of indoor games like weightlifting, fencing, judo, wrestling and table tennis. Among the regular events that are usually held at the Georgia World Congress Center is the Southeastern Conference festivity. During this festivity, thousands of fans gather at the Congress Center.
