
Fernbank Museum Of Natural History
The Fernbank museum of natural history is located in Atlanta, Georgia and exhibits programs about natural history with a motive of educating the public. It encourages a greater appreciation of the people towards their planet and every living thing on the planet.
It has a number of its permanent exhibits that the museum exhibits regularly to the public. It exhibits a 123 feet long Argentinosaurus as well as Giganotosaurus as its best collections.
A walk through the time in Georgia one of its permanent exhibits is related to the two-fold history of the town. Fernbank museum of natural history has a lot of education activities to its collection including a telescope, planetarium and a 65 acre of natural forest.
The trustees also created a science center to educate people about its resources. On 1992 the museum was officially opened for general public. With its 65 acres it is also largest old growth urban forest in the country.
Fernbank museum of natural history is also a home to IMAX theatre. The movies can be enjoyed on a screen that is massive and nearly five stories high and 72 feet wide. Selection of the movies would be changing throughout the year.
It also arranges for special activities for both young and old on Atlanta travel including activities like summer camping, workshops, lectures, conversation, story telling and much more. The museum is open year round and features IMAX films, live music, along with food and drinks.
At Fernbank museum of natural history one can simply explore cultural treasures and also experience the thrill of IMAX along with enjoying science interactives. The museum has a unique mission to inspire life long learning through their dynamic programs.
As a private non-profit organization, it mostly would rely on the donation amount from the visitors. So, the museum is a new way to rediscover yourself with natural history.
