A Review of Fogo de Chao Atlanta GA

Atlanta has some of the best fine dining places in Georgia but none of them beats the Brazilian chain Fogo De Chao. Commonly known as "Fogo" this classy eating joint opened its first chain in Atlanta in 2001. Ever since then it's been the talk of the town.

The restaurant is decorated with Brazilian soil colors that give a traditional feel. Other interior aspects that you just can't help gaping at are the salad bar that reminds you of a grand ancestral kitchen table, a fireplace that's stacked with stones, an outstanding wine wall situated in the dining hall and a huge bar.

Now the most important aspect, the food! Fogo de Chao uses the South American Churrasco cooking style to make some of the most mouth-watering steaks in the US. It's not just the steaks; it's the way the waiters serve it too. The waiters move around with skewers that hold the most irresistible looking charcoal-grilled meat. Then they carve the meat for you next to your table and serve it. The visual appeal is so good that it makes your mouth water.

The most popular meat dishes are the filet mignon wrapped in bacon, Parmesan-dusted pork loin and leg of lamb. To accompany the juicy meat there is the salad bar and side dishes that offer some Brazilian specialties like fried polenta, cheese puffs and fried bananas. To top it all, the restaurant offers a wide range of classy wines from around the world and some of the best South American wines, which are highly recommended.

The restaurant is situated on Piedmont road and while driving down this road you can't miss the Fogo de Chao blue tower, which displays its name http://www.fogodechao.com/pdf/fogoatl-map.pdf. The restaurant operates for lunch and dinner on weekdays and only dinner on weekends (Fri to Sat).
