Many of these programs are designed to ensure that the youngsters have adequate opportunities towards becoming productive citizens.

The club functions from over 27 different locations in independent counties across the Metro Atlanta area. Over 3,000 youngsters benefit from the efforts the club everyday. Apart from the daily activities, the club organizes special programs such as Youth Art Connection, art gallery etc. Special care has been taken to locate the clubs in communities where the need for such services is the highest and alternatives are either unavailable or limited.

Annual membership for the services is only $35 and inability to pay does not lead to denial of services. The Club is a nonprofit and relies on private, corporate and individual funding to bridge the gap between operational expenses and membership dues.

The services of BGCMA have become all the more relevant and useful to the Metro Atlanta community after the economic downturn which has squeezed out recreational opportunities. Inexpensive places where the children can go after school have also dwindled in numbers.

A Day in Atlanta

Then head to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens that opens at 9am. From there you can head to the High Museum of Art which opens at 10am.

Then move to Underground Atlanta which offers a unique underground shopping experience. From here you can go to the CNN Center, The Georgia Aquarium, The World of Coke and the Children's museum.
