Juliette Gordon Low is synonymous with the Girl Scouts of USA and was born on the 31st of October, 1860 in Savannah. Juliette Gordon Low was nicknamed “Daisy” by her family and friends.

Girls Scouts was originally founded by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah in 1912. In 1950 the birth place of Juliette had to be saved from demolition and the GSUSA took over the ownership and operation responsibilities of the place converting it as a center for National Girl Scout Program and a historic house museum. These efforts have paid rich dividends in the form of over 65,000 visitors every year from across the nation and the globe.
