Witness the shows at the Fountain of Rings, which airs four times daily. This park is perfect for families and group travelers, so never hesitate to take your loved ones here.

Tip 1 - Take a breather from your explorations and visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Bring along your camera and take snapshots of some of the best orchids, wildflower trails, and beautiful foliage in the garden. This garden is an excellent way for you to explore the softer side of Atlanta.

Tip 2 - Feel the adrenaline rush and get ready to scream with excitement at the Six Flags over Georgia and Six Flags White Water. Experience all the thrills that this theme park has to offer, and find yourself wanting for more. Here you can try out waterfalls, slides, and the most exciting water rides you can imagine. Considered as the world's biggest interactive theme park, you will definitely have a grand time trying out the rides and maybe trying out the delicious food fares too.

Tip 3 - If you love the marine life then you would also love the Georgia Aquarium. It is the largest aquarium in the world with more marine life than any aquarium in the world. It is situated in downtown Atlanta.

Piedmont Park

Located two miles northeast of Atlanta downtown, the Piedmont Park Atlanta has been known as the area's 'Common Ground' since 1904. This park runs along Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street in midtown Atlanta. It is open everyday from 6 am to 11 pm.

From the park's early days, it has been a popular destination among the kids and their parents searching for playful fun. The two playgrounds in the park continue to attract children and families throughout the year to have Atlanta GA travel.

There are many great picnic spots present in the Piedmont Park Atlanta where visitors can lay out their spread. For large group of picnic parties, two covered picnic pavilions are available for renting. The Picnic Shelter built by the WPA in 1936 measure 40′ - 60′ and accommodates 64 people seated and 160 people standing. Water and electricity is available in this shelter.

The 2-story brick Bandstand is the other picnic pavilion located nearby. Built in 1925, it can accommodate 25 people seated and 30 people standing. The Bandstand does not offer water, but electricity is available in it. Throughout the park there are 22 grills present for the use of the picnickers. Portable grills are not allowed inside the park.

The Piedmont Park Atlanta has great fishing opportunities available. A new bridge has been constructed which unifies the 2 parts of the lake present in the park. Water quality has been improved by the aeration system and the 3 new fishing piers makes it easy to find the right spot. The lake is stocked routinely with fish like crappie, large mouth bass, catfish and bream.

Piedmont Park Atlanta is also the perfect place to host any memorable and successful event like weddings, corporate meetings, social events or team building outings. Various options like the picturesque Magnolia Hall, the new fabulous Greenstone and the secluded open air vista of the Visitor Center or Clara Meer Dock are great places for events on Atlanta travel with their blend of scenic and functional features.
