
The Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia aquarium is located in the Atlanta for a nice Atlanta travel, at Pemberton Place, is one of the world's largest aquarium housing more than 100,000 marine animals of 500 different species. The aquarium is famous for holding four of young whale sharks, manta ray and beluga whales. The aquarium is founded by nearly $250 million donation and built in around 20 acres of plot.
The Georgia aquarium has nearly 100,00 and 120,000 fish and a variety of other sea creatures that represent nearly 500 different species. The most famous specimens may include whale sharks that may be the first time when the whale sharks have been kept in captivity outside Asia. The aquarium is also one of the two aquariums that exhibit hammer head sharks. The aquarium is also a home to extinct species like beluga whales which are a rare species around 11 foot in length.
The Georgia aquarium has five different galleries to display animals called as the Georgia explorer, Ocean voyager, cold water quest, Tropical driver, and River scout. Each of these corresponds to a specific environment. Georgia explorer gears the visitors and children towards itself. A number of touch tanks are featured here with beautiful fishes like sharks, rays and sea turtles. It also exhibits the reef life of the sea.
River scout reflects regional environment featuring over head rivers. Pirana, electric fish are exhibited along with other local catch. Cold water quest features animals from the colder regions. Exhibiting beluga whales, sea lions, spider crabs and penguins this is a very unique experience. The Georgia aquarium Ocean voyager includes a variety of other fishes along with exhibiting ocean reef ad whale sharks. It has the world's second largest tunnel and viewing window.
The Georgia aquarium has a exhibition window called the Tropical diver with many curios haunting forms of ocean life. The aquarium also features a 4D theatre for attracting visitors who travel to Atlanta GA.
